Despite his success, DJTrance preferred the periphery of the mainstream, often opening new venues across the US and abroad rather than seeking the limelight. He was a resident DJ at iconic venues like the Key Club and Avalon in Los Angeles.
DJTrance’s discography, including albums like his debut “Trance Nation” (2001) and “The Remixes” (2002), showcased his talent with multiple top singles and high-charting dance hits. He produced over 200 original tracks and 3000 remixes, supported by fellow DJs such as Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, Tiësto, and more.
Beyond music, DJTrance was a passionate advocate for the Rave community, notably challenging legislation like the Rave Act. His commitment to PLUR (Peace, Love, Unity, Respect) was evident in his pioneering broadcasts and initiatives like PlurLife Radio.
In 2005, tragedy struck with the loss of his closest friend, leading DJTrance to retreat to Berlin, where he continued to broadcast to a global audience. His legacy lives on through his music and the memories shared by those who knew him.
DJTrance’s final remix, inspired by an elderly couple’s love story, reflects his deep emotional connection to music and its power to unite generations.
On December 23, 2014, DJTrance left this world, leaving behind a legacy of music and a message of responsibility and respect. His impact on electronic music and the Rave culture endures, ensuring he remains a legend of his time and beyond.
