Baby it’s cold outside! Y’all remember the Jingle Jam? It’s become quite the anticipated event as the years have gone on, and now that the pandemic has receded a fair bit, we’re very excited to announce Jingle Jam 9! DL and Lokust are gonna be there to give you the best start to the holiday season that anyone could ask for. And the full squad is also gonna be joining in, plus some special guests!

With giveaways, a festive atmosphere, and a fun time for all, Jingle Jam 9 is gonna be an unmissable event, especially if you’re young or young at heart! One lucky kid is gonna get a bike given to them… that is, as Down3r puts it, unless the Grinch steals it first!

The hype is just getting started, with the attendees ready to perform their best show of the year, and the only thing they’re missing now is you! Will you be there? We’ve talked a big game about a few of these artists in particular in the past, and a refresher course might be just the thing you need if you’re indecisive about buying tickets for this once-in-a-lifetime event. We’ll go over a couple of our favourites…

Lokust Luciano was born William Arciszewski on June 21st, 1988 as a premature baby, and diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. He grew up in North Fort Myers and began writing poetry at the tender age of 9 years old. He is a determined rapper with Cerebral Palsy, and has been active in multiple facets of the Hip-Hop scene since 1998. He moved to Florida for leg surgery when he was very young, as the medical world at the time (1988) didn’t have a solid understanding of Cerebral Palsy yet, so he had to seek out an expert specialist. Orlando was the only place he could go for it, and he came out on the other side grinning. He is well known in the underground music scene for his production talent and lyrical delivery. He is also sometimes known by the handle “Crippled Kingpin”.

The adversities he has overcome are now a part of his personal aesthetic, showing his strength and sturdy sense of humour. His creative drive is unstoppable, and we’re sure you’ll agree when you see some of the hits from his catalogue that have been turning heads his way! Every fan of Down3r knows his endlessly catchy signature song Suga Boom Boom, but more people need to hear the good word that is Suga Boom Boom part 2! The original has stood the test of time, but part 2 is on the verge of going viral just like part 1… it’s a sleeper hit that’s waiting for its moment!

We believe the song speaks for itself! And so does the viewcount in the video down in the players below – it’s not often that the auto-generated “topic” youtube channels get this kind of traction, but this track has over 8 million views on a topic channel. Down3r has done it again.

But youtube isn’t the only place where this song is making waves. Check out this readout for the last few months on Songstats: Suga Boom Boom part 2 had a spike in activity around July 2022, and now in October as you can see, it’s causing just as much of a buzz once again! But of course that doesn’t mean it isn’t an absolute pleasure every step of the way, even if the sheer reach of that influence is intimidating to say the least. We truly have a viral hit on our hands, don’t we?! Sensation after sensation, Down3r cranks out each wonder like they’re nothing… but of course, don’t be fooled. The man works hard, as do his other contributors. Can’t get music of this quality without a lotta elbow grease.

Gabe Rizza is a name you may have heard before in previous stories of ours, most notably the many many remixes he’s done for Key Loch and other artists! Well, you’d be sorely mistaken if you thought all he had in him were these remixes. Like any passionate musician, Gabe loves to create something great from nothing, so his new track I Feel Good published by Blue Pie Publishing USA is sure to show you where his passion can get him! Gabe is currently the Studio and Production Manager at Blue Pie Records, DJ Central Records, and Ordior. He favours disco, house, and pop, but is multidisciplinary and loves all music. Gabe has a rich history in the industry, and has been a singer-songwriter producer and mastering engineer for over 30 years. Gabe was signed to the Australian Dance Label “Pro DJ International” in the late 90’s with his R & B Pop Group, “About Time”. Gabe then released his first single “Lies”, which went on to become a number one hit on the urban dance charts. Back in the 2020 pandemic, making Tik Tok challenges became more popular than ever. People were locked in, going stircrazy, and missing their loved ones back in the outside world. That counted for all of us at Blue Pie and DJ Central too… but thankfully, something good also came out of those circumstances, as well. We met plenty of crazy people online who wanted to get their awesome vision out onto the internet, and that includes Judithilen. A Tik Tok and Instagram dancer, Judithilen even came up with a dance that anyone could replicate in order to support Suga Boom Boom, specifically the Key Crashers remix that also came out during the pandemic! You can check out that remix down in the media players below.

Now that we’re seemingly coming out of the dark fully (fingers crossed) and with plenty of other world crises looming over it, we figured it was time to bring back this dance! And the quickest way to do that is to show off the old video that Judithilen gave to us. It contains the instructions to Judithilen’s SUGA BOOM BOOM DANCE! Anyone can follow along in their own videos too, and rest assured that we’ll be keeping an eye out for them so we can feature them on our sites and social media!

Did the video go by a bit fast? Not sure how to do the dance? Does it look complicated? We got you there, no worries! You can make the Macarena look extremely intricate, but as we all know, it’s built off several fundamental and simple steps! Here are the written and illustrated steps to the Suga Boom Boom dance, plus a slowed down gif so you can see it properly in motion! Our art guru Sara Cornish created these back in 2020 to make it easier to absorb, so hopefully you’ll find them helpful when making your own videos. Feel free to innovate on these moves and flow how you want to on the dance floor! Feel free to embellish on them – Judith did way more than these simple steps, but that’s the fun of dance, how it can flow from simple movements into all kinds of crazy stuff! Our Argentinian LATAM team grows ever-more! We have around 20 people working over there now, and Tyler from our Australian team is also over there visiting our sister office. Growing closer like this is a cause for celebration, so what better way to live it up than to hit the lanes and go out for a bowling night?! This was the line of thinking that led us in the Australian office to go out and have some fun, so that’s exactly what happened. Here are a few select moments.

Funnily enough, LATAM thought exactly the same thing, so on two different continents across the world, both Blue Pie/DJ Central teams went out bowling!

Needless to say, the fun times rolled just as smoothly as a well-bowled ball, and some hidden talents were revealed as people you might not have expected to be as good as they were scored strike after strike after strike! It’s not often in this busy, self-sufficient world that we get time to just blow off some steam, so when it happens, it’s an occasion worth remembering… which is exactly what we’ll be doing with this article once it’s live: going back and rereading it for some nostalgia, and looking forward to the future for all the good times that are yet to come! We have plenty of things planned, and plenty of ways in mind that we can take a break, so we’re gonna work hard and play harder!

The Latin American team have also been working just as hard of course, and the fun they have planned for themselves is sure to help them make the most out of their work/play balance. Of course, with around 20 people in the office over there, they’ll have no trouble getting all hands on deck for whatever goals they strive for next… and that’s where you, reader, might come in. Boogie Oogie Oogie was a monster hit back in the day in 1978 for A Taste of Honey. It topped the American pop, soul and disco charts, and it eventually sold over two million copies and has become one of the most recognizable songs from the disco era. Now this record is set to worm its way into your ears all over again for the 2020s. Key Loch have gotten their hands on it, and the result is electrifying to say the least! Just two short weeks is all it took for this single to see over 12K plays on Spotify, and of course that’s to be expected given the kind of legacy we’re dealing with here: Boogie Oogie Oogie is one of the most iconic classic disco songs out there. There’s no disco fan in the world that hasn’t heard the original masterpiece from A Taste Of Honey, so it’s great to see that love have its torch passed on to Key Loch and their efforts! Gabe Rizza did the arrangements and keyboards, Tom Polce handled the final mix, Chris Garcia produced and completed final arrangements for additional vocals, and Damien Reilly produced the track alongside Gabe. The team all worked tirelessly to produce the new mix at their studios, Blue Pie Records Moss Vale, and Chris Garcia studios Topanga County LA. And all this isn’t mentioning the lyrical contributions! Sahra’s vocals have been given new life from her incredible work she put into these cover sessions back in the early 2000s, over 20 years later it’s shining all over the world again.
